Lowery Hills Community Development District
The Lowery Hills Community Development District (CDD) is a local, special purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, established May 15, 2023 and created by Ordinance No. 1515-23 of the City Commission of the City of Lake Alfred, Florida Polk County, Florida as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
The Lowery Hills CDD is located entirely within the boundaries of the City of Lake Alfred, Polk County, Florida, comprising a parcel or parcels of land containing approximately 217.5436 acres, located north of Old Haines City/Lake Alfred Road and U.S. 17, and is bisected by Lake Lowery Road.
The powers and functions of the District are described in Sections 19.011 and 190.012(1) and (3), Florida Statutes.

Consent is hereby given to the District’s Board of Supervisors to exercise additional powers to finance, fund, plan, establish, acquire, construct or reconstruct, enlarge or extend, equip, operate, and maintain systems and facilities for: Parks and facilities for indoor and outdoor recreational, cultural, and education sues as described and authorized by Section 190.012(2)(a), Florida Statutes and security powers, including but not limited to walls, fences, and electronic intrusion detection, as authorized and described in Section 190.012(2) (d), Florida Statutes.
